New Arrival - IWC 377724 Pilot Chronograph
I've been on the hunt for a pilot watch for quite a while. There have been multiple strong contenders. Just when I thought I was ready to pull the trigger, I would then see another piece.
Now, for the record, I'm not a fan of NATO straps. I probably never would have even considered this pieces until I saw some wrist shots on another forum, especially on the Santoni strap. My 6-year old nephew stated it best, "You're always looking at that watch. You're obsessed with that watch!" That's when I knew it was time to pull the trigger.
I actually ordered a custom Pilot strap first:
Flew down to NYC to visits the IWC boutique on Madison Ave to acquire a deployant clasp:
Much better - although I have to admit I was starting to take a liking to the NATO strap:
Although this is a 'Tribute' to their Ref 3706 Fliegerchronograph, it's not a LE piece. It's 43mm x 15.3mm; the 3706 is 39mm x15.5mm. Currently, this is interestingly only e-commerce through IWC online boutique until October.
