New Historiques 1954
Just wanted to share a quick and dirty pic of VC's new Historiques 1954 that I posted in another forum.
A very limited number are being sold in advance in Japan but they should be available to all after SIHH 2011.
It uses VC's in-house cal. 1400 and, since it has a petite round movement in a form case, VC has wisely decided to go with a solid back for its WG case (I am not aware of any other metals being used at this time).

Well, don't know what to think...
The case is as original as pleasant, but the dial... Well, don't know... Furthermore, I regret VC didn't think about putting a rectangular movement in this rectangular watch. To be seen in the flesh, nonetheless; Best, Nicolas.

And here's hoping the Doc posts a photo of his vintage watch that inspired this design. I like the "quadrant" dial, which I'm sure will show well in good lighting, and the case is gorgeous. Definitely a watch I look forward to learning more about at SIHH....
