New Watch on the Wrist —
I have been flirting with adding a Grand Seiko to my collection for the past few months — two trips to NYC in the past six, weeks, in part to look at GS watches, did not yield a “that is the watch” reaction. Last Sunday, upon my return from trip two to NYC, I found the GS Special Edition (USA) Oruri on the website of an AD. It is 37 mm, with a mechanical movement, and a stunning blue dial. I ordered it on Monday morning, it arrived on Tuesday morning, and after a full week of travel I was able to unbox it yesterday. Love that feeling. Even though it is a dress watch, it is going casual today.
