Numbers of CPCP Tortue Limited Edition

A friend of mine recently beat me to the purchase of a Collection Privee Tortue in platinum numbered "0049". The papers with the watch were blank so we have no idea of the date nor how many of these pieces were manufactured. We were well looked after at the Watch Club in Bond Street, London.

Does anyone know how many CPCP Tortues in platinum were made? And the dates? I would be grateful for any information.

By the way, it came with the original black croc strap and white gold deployant, so P went straight off to the Cartier boutique in Bond Street and bought a burgundy croc which looks stunning. It has not left his wrist for 2 weeks with stiff competition from an IWC, Reverso, Radiomir, Muller, Constellation, Day-Date and a spectacularly beautiful wife. P promises to post some pics soon (of the Tortue, not the wife).

I'm embarrassed on this Forum to say that I was also on a mission to procure a Santos-Dumont 90th anniversary in platinum from Fabrice Losfield in Brussels and made the mistake of asking him to bring along a Jaeger Reverso Art Deco with skeleton movement to compare. The S-D is an absolute gem and I'm a sucker for salmon dials but I like to see the movement and, well, those Jaeger pink gold hand-worked bridges...Suffice to say I am now wearing the Reverso..and another George on this Forum is presumably now wearing the Santos. Thanks George for all the advice, and enjoy your S-D.
