Old and new
Being a great fan of vintage VC's there is no surprise that I am also attracted to the new models based on vintage designs. Unfortunately, until quite recently I always thought that the re editions missed something and that they were not quite up to standards (the superbe Chronographe Historique aside). My views changed with the Toledo 1952 launched about 3 years ago.."finally" I am tempted to say.
The design was almost 50 years old but the watch remained quite modern.
I was lucky enopugh to litteraly run into its older cousin, the Ref 6440, time only and thought you might enjoy some side by side photos.
