A Panerai will allow you to....
use several types of different straps and still look pretty good. Everything else is pure personal taste. I've seen some horrific ones, that the owners loved to bits. The one on your 717 looks pretty good to me. I have the same model Assolutamente on one ...

I have the same strap on the Pam 317 and it has Patinaed extremely nicely to a darker brown with lighter spots where the sun doesn’t hit it, problem is I probably won’t wear the 717 enough to ever get it there … Jim
