Patek Pocket watch???

Hi

I am new here, so not sure if I am doing this correctly, but I am sure someone will correct me if needed.   I have recently acquired an earlier Patek pocket watch, probably mid 1800's.  Though it soes not have a maker's name on either the movement, dial or case, I am assured by someone that supposedly knows watches that it is a Patek.  I would like to get some kind of official proof.  If time is not of the essence, is it best to send it directly to Patek?  Will they at least authenticate?  Will they also repair?   I went to their website to e-mail them and my computer could not bring up their site in a manner that I could send an e-mail to them.  Their pages appeared to extend past  the dimensions of my screen.  I would appreciate any advice from any semi-knoweable people on the best way to authenticate and repair a mid 1800's Patek pocket watch.  Thank you very much.
