Press release:

MAÎTRES DU TEMPS UNVEILS ITS FIRST TIMEPIECE—CHAPTER ONE—IN RUSSIA AND UKRAINE

Geneva , Switzerland – October 3, 2008 – Maîtres du Temps, an exciting new haute horlogerie brand, is very pleased to announce the completion of extremely successful events in Russia and Ukraine on September 9th and September 11th. These followed the global launch of Maîtres du Temps in April 2008 in Geneva, Switzerland, and a 10-day tour of Asia in June 2008.

Steven Holtzman, founder of Maîtres du Temps, was accompanied to Russia and Ukraine by legendary watchmaker Mr. Roger Dubuis, one of three master watchmakers behind the creation of Chapter One. The series of presentations of Chapter One—the inaugural timepiece by Maîtres du Temps—began in Moscow and continued on to Kiev.

Collectors in Moscow

The Triumph Gallery, a pillar of contemporary art in Moscow, held a high-profile unveiling and press conference that featured Chapter One set against the backdrop of the Signs of Time exhibition project. Guests who were invited to examine the inaugural timepiece experienced an aesthetic thrill. The debut of Maîtres du Temps became a day to remember for creativity, art and style.

“It was both exciting and a special privilege for Maîtres du Temps to present Chapter One in the bustling markets of Moscow and Kiev,” said Mr. Holtzman. “The Russian and Ukrainian consumer has a great appreciation for luxury goods of outstanding quality, and that is compounded by a respect for complicated timepieces and the finer things in life.”

Moscow press conference

Old City Kiev, with its Orthodox architectural landmarks and numerous museums, churches, and historic structures, provided a dramatic backdrop for the Maîtres du Temps press conference. Held in the Regency Hyatt Kiev Bibliotheque and complemented by the elegant surroundings, the first presentation of Chapter One in Ukraine was the highlight for members of the media and guests.

“This was my first time visiting Moscow and Kiev, and I was very impressed by the atmosphere. The heritage and the history, the colors of the cities, and the stunning architecture left an unforgettable impression of the past and an appreciation of the potential for the future,” said Mr. Roger Dubuis.

He added, “During our presentations, I felt that Chapter One was extremely well received and appreciated by the people of Russia and Ukraine. The interactions I had with the media were extraordinary. I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation for their genuine interest and for allowing me the opportunity to better know an exceptional watch culture illustrating a strong appreciation for the art of watchmaking.”
