Pros: Oh my god what a beautiful sexy body! I really wanted to love this car, I really did...
The leather work and dash are top notch, with the typical Italian style.
Great sounding exhaust.
Cons: surprising corner cutting - the seat back release levers were cheap pot metal / plastic (it broke off on the car we were evaluating) - this might be okay on a lower end "cheaper" car but not on something with the hallowed legend of Maserati, especially not clothed in a body (and leather) like this one is. Kinda like a world class beauty in a couture Valentino or Dior with panty lines showing and dirty finger nails...
For my taste, a bit too slow and soft, though I understand for most convertible buyers neither are real issues.
General Comments: Maybe my expectations were too high; maybe they were unrealistic or malapropos for the genre, but after my LOVE of the GranTurismo MC Stradale last year (god it got my blood racing...) I was a bit disappointed. I had the same feelings last year about the GrandCabrio, I was hoping a new model year would address what I perceived to be its shortcomings.
I was told the next (sub) model release of the GrandCabrio would put it on par with the MC Stradale, with faster and more aggressive transmission and timing as well as tighter suspension.
Conc: I'm waiting with bated breath...
