I had the opportunity to buy this in Japan earlier this year. I bought it on the spot because I had lusted after this piece in 2008 when it was released.
There is a long story as to why I didn't buy the SS version but now the opportunity was here to buy the rose LE of 100 pieces worldwide.I had second thoughts when getting home because the all gold bezel scared me. I am careful with my watches but an all gold offshore bezel is very vulnerable.
Fast forward and I just strapped it on this week. I love it and it will stay with me. Thought I would share a few pictures. Now all I need is the SS

Gold bezels are indeed prone to scratching. But don't let this stop you from owning such a beauty! Congrats and ENJOY!

I would not worry about the bezel too much. It will be OK for you. It is a gorgeous watch. I think the gold/gold Offshores are very special, and there have not been a ton of versions like that. Enjoy it!
