Repair query - early 80s Datejust

Please PM with recommendations for non factory Rolex service.

An acquaintance of mine asked me whether she should have the Rolex movement REPLACED in an inherited man's watch that she wants to wear since Rolex won't repair anything over 25 years old and no local jeweler will touch it. After making appropriate signs to ward off the impending evil I said I would try to get a recommendation from those who know. From what she says (we are not in the same town so I haven't examined the watch) it is an unusual pink gold (and steel?) model and she can accept and afford the likely cost.

She is in Dallas, but I am sure she could be convinced to ship it wherever necessary. I prefer not to get into the middle of the transaction other than giving her a couple of names for her to contact directly.
