I thought I was not going to buy any more watches this year. But then I spotted this one. I sent it to our resident Dr. Evil and he said "Buy it". Now, I had been thinking that I could always find a 16660 as they are not especially rare, but actually it is all about patina with this watch. There is one in Paris that also has a very nice patina but does not come full-kit with papers. Then this one came up....
....I had to take it. The patina is just remarkable. One thing for sure, though, is that this definitely completes my Sea-Dweller theme.

..... patina can (often) be a major draw to a watch. With this one, it certainly is. I am taking bets now..... Anyone wanting to gamble on whether I buy another watch this year, the odds are even money......
