Roger Dubuis

Roger Dubuis, not seen often

this brand strikes me as an avant garde and extreemly audatious yet not many discuss it often. i mean i know there are many fans and brand enthusiasts and there was very recent discussion raised by SJX that it was something to look at in 2011.

but still there is a lack of RD subjects. is it their designs or is it due to previous QC issues?

for me a two day owner of a plain silver dial time only sympathie 43mm SS, i think the watch is simply superb. i love the shape (although the original sympathie where the crystal went along with the case boerders appealed to me more) the look or presence it had on the wrist even if it looks that it wears quite big ,and it is, on the wrist and thats only the 43mm  the 45mm is another story. the movement aint bad either its the RD14 it is actually beautiful. and back to the dial colour i truely love its simple and subtle look, very clean the roman numbers are big that they actually add the contrast to the dial. the case shape is interesting (but as noted above i do like the old school symp) and thick also.

now if we look at their other lines the excallibur for me stands out as the best of the collection and the movement is awosome and i dont want to talk complications here just the simple time only watches. but i have issues with the other lines such as the Too Much,Follow me, aquamare.

i loved their golden square and can be great dress watches but i do think they can be more modernised in a great way (and NO i dont think the KING SQUARE is that kind of modernisation) but what i realy love but discontinued is the Hommage line which is splended. the EASY DIVER aint my cup of tea
