Had a very enlightening breakfast with the man himself and a good friend of mine in London yesterday. Had to meet the man mainly responsible for the creation of my Daniels Millenium watch. I was wearing it over breakfast and to this end could compare directly with his Series 2. They make a very nice couple and I shall be trying my best to get the funds in place to order a Series 2 asap.
He reckons on about a year waiting list if any of you are interested. One bit of info that I was unaware of is that he is willing to make the Series 2 with special individual designs that I might try as this would make a completely unique piece. Any ideas anyone?
The watch is fantastic on and illustrates that although he obviously has taken a vast amount out of his association with Daniels he is most definetely his own man as the watch is a good deal larger in both diameter and thickness than the Daniels. Big regret in not bringing a small camera to get them both together. Never mind as I will be ordering one this week and I shall just have to wait.
Anyone of you who has ordered one of this pieces, WELL DONE, and to the rest of you who might be thinking about what their next purchase might be, I can recommend this watch as a fantastic purchase at a very reasonable price, compared to many others I can think of. He is making no more than a dozen or so in any one year and that in itself is worth the money. By the way the hands, which in the pics I have seen I did not like much, are actually very nice in the flesh and differentiate it from any other watch out there.
To Roger, and I know he reads this site, it was a pleasure to meet someone who will influence the next generation of watch enthusiasts as much as you and the Series 2 is a masterstroke and will look very nice on the first row of my watch box next to my Daniels and Journe, at least I hope it will as I have already made room for it.
