Rolex Cellini Dual Time Review
A planned trip to the U.S. provided an excellent excuse to consider a different watch for this duty: the Rolex Cellini Dual Time. As you know my reviews are mostly visual so here are my first
impressions of this stunning watch!
I decided for the black dial because it gives a more distinct/sophisticated look and because I don't have many watches in this colour combination. I love the big crown at 12!
The dial is finished with a guilloche “rayon flammé de la gloire” and is simply stunning. Rolex being Rolex this is not a hand made guilloche but it is extremely well made.
The second time zone display is very clever: you have all the hours displayed and a day/night indicator. Very easy to set and practical. Here it displays NYC as second time zone.
The case is not ultra thin but very elegant. 39 mm is perfect for me in terms of size and in general very contemporary.

I went for the shiny alligator strap but I think that now this watch (and other Cellini watches) are also available with a more subtle matt alligator strap.
The buckle is very well made too!
Everrose gold/black is a really stunning combination. The bezel is very Rolex!
During the revamp of the Rolex Cellini line (2014) the recurring question was if Rolex can really be competitive in elegant, traditional watches vs. the more established oyster lines.
In my opinion (especially this year with the moon complication that I would really love to get) Rolex reached a level of true competition with the usual suspects in this segment (Patek, Lange, Vacheron).
All the Cellini line is priced really well and the Rolex 5 years warranty and the -2/+2 sec a day precision (after casing) is a very strong argument in their favour.
I think that Cellini presents a very serious and competitive alternative to other brands. There is a lot of value (aesthetically and technically) in the Rolex Cellini line. Very happy with my choice!
Hope that you enjoyed this short visual review of the Rolex Cellini Dual time!
