Rolex rules...all other watch companies should bow at the alter of the mighty Rolex. I spit on anyone who doesn't worship Rolex and the indestructible 916L. By the way, because of its obvious superiority to gold, silver, platinum, palladium, etc. the U.S. mint will be issuing legal tender redeemable for 916L. Who said we need to go back to a gold standard to get the absurd profligacy of fiat money off our backs!! Can't wait to get my twenty dollar 916 eagLe down at the coin shop.
Daytonas, Milgausses and 50th anniversaries for sale...get 'em while they're hot.
Anyone know where I can get a SS Daytona at list price?
Whew! Glad I got that off my shoulders...
A big welcome to the Rolex forum. Like many others, Rolex was my entree into the world of fine watches. I bought mine with savings from a teenage job at a restaurant...had to wash a lot of dishes, cook a lot of food and scrub a lot of floors to afford it--a stainless steel Submariner that I've had for over 15 years and which my 13-month old son will hopefully wear someday once he's learned to get over the Rolex prejudice (both pro and con). If we extrapolate his current desire to whack, break and pound just about everything he can get his hands on, he'll no doubt beat the living #^*! out of it just like I did--from the chipped bezel insert to the lost cyclops bubble (I like it more now that it's gone) to the bent fold over clasp--and it will keep on going, just like it did for me...
Cheers,
John
