Rubber?
I have a question for all about Rolex and the use of proprietary rubber straps. I noticed recently that someone posted a datejust for women that includes a very well designed rubber strap from rolex that also holds diamonds. As far as I know, this may be the first time ever that Rolex has used a rubber strap. Is this true? The inside of the strap is tagged with a repeated rolexrolexrolex logo, it is very well done.
Although we can all debate about it, there are many who prefer rubber over metal for sports watches and I am wondering if any of you think that rolex will be expanding on this offering into men's watches. It seems only natural, as rubber straps are clearly here to stay and they are making there own now. Not to fuel speculation about the Basel 2009, etc. But do you think that it is possible that Rolex will finally offer this option? I think it would match an updated Explorer II perfectly. Any thoughts?
