Seeking Advice on Ladies Watch Under $2,000
I am looking for a ladies watch under $2,000 and as I do not
know much about watches, I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts about what choices
I have. I like classic, streamlined styles in stainless steel, preferably with
a bracelet, but a leather strap would be nice as well.
Are there any automatic watches in my price range? Unfortunately I cannot
afford to exceed the $2,000 limit.
If not, what should I be looking for in a quartz watch? Are there brands that
are known to have good mechanisms, or does it not make a big difference? I like
the look of Baume & Mercier watches.
This will be my only watch for a long time, and I will be working in finance,
so I am looking for something classic, that will be respected by potentially
pretentious coworkers.
Thank you in advance for any input!

There are many nice quartz watches in your price range, but only a few automatics and those are midsize unisex - 34-36mm in size, bigger than traditional ladies watches. It is not likely that your local merchant will have any low end automatics or manuals...
