Hi All
Unexpectedly my Seiko stack has grown - now at 5.
All very unexpectedly & also my first real diver.
I have been looking at Seiko Divers for a while & tried a few on. While a few have clicked in terms of looks - when they've been on my wrist something has been missing. The main one of these is the PADI Turtle - still think it looks great, & the blue dial is outstanding. I've tried it on a number of times & it's just not been right, have really wanted it be too , each time there's been the disappointment. There's so much going for it but it didn't somehow sit properly - tried a Sumo too. Again great watch - but there was something missing when on my wrist.
I've already posted about finding a SLA017 in a local dealer - which is rather fabulous, but rather out of budget at the moment. Today I had a look in the window & wasn't expecting to see anything different & then noticed that the new Prospex divers were there - both the blue & the black dialed versions.
So went to try them on - instantly drawn to the blue dialed version , tried both on mind. It was still the blue that was winning then took it into the daylight & dial was much more alive. Pretty much a done deal then.
Did have a look at the SLA017 again & it is wonderful, but just a bit too far at the moment. Seeing them side by side you could see the influence in the newer version - it is bigger, but still manageable for me.

Still getting used to the idea of my first diver
.
Just need to learn - I'll just have a quick look - is dangerous for your bank account!
