Senator Perpetual takes a trip to Glashutte

Well, as posted before, my Senator Perpetual, which stopped changing its date on the 27th of Feb just in time to deny me the pleasure of seeing the once in four year event of the 29th of February appearing in the date window, has the N.Y. office stumped or so I am told. It is on its way to the factory. This was my second Senator Perpetual. The first stopped in the middle of a date change two days after purchase and was immediately replaced with new. This second watch lasted not even 90 days.

In keeping with Marcus' kind comments, I refrained from demanding a replacment to see where we go from here. They tell me the watch is being "rushed" and that it is scheduled to be finished the first week in April. In the meantime, I am wearing my trusted Rolex Thunderbird which I have had for nearly 15 years and except for routine service, has NEVER missed a date change (albeit not a perpetual) and is consistently within 2 seconds per day every day regardless of my activity.
