The auction vendors, led by EON Productions are donating 100% of their auction proceeds to nominated charitable causes and Christie’s is donating 100% of the profitable proceeds from the buyer’s premium.

Sure it is, but it’s probAbly a £90k tax break anyway against income tax (if in the UK?) Why not just give the money quietly to the charity? My gripe is that these are just ordinary wAtches available from any high street and don’t demand the fuss.
