Omega

So a long search finally bears fruit.....

Hello all.

The Omega 30T2rg has, for me, always held a place on the pedestal as one of truly magnificent time-only timepieces ever created by Omega or any other house for that matter.  The combination of the "scientific dial" and the iconic movement is hard to beat.

Years ago I acquired a stainless steel example with an original (albeit slightly damaged) dial, but quickly learned that these references are a bit of a hornet's nest!  Seems most have redone dials, and even for those where the dial remains untouched, many were re-cased as well.  My dial and movement, I learned, had been dropped into a non-chronometer, and presumably incorrect, case.  I eventually sold that example at a significant discount to account for the incorrect case, and the search continued.

Fast forward a few years (and countless examples which appeared to be wrong for one reason or another), and finally a light at the end of the tunnel.  I'm hesitant to post for fear of learning that my new example suffers issues just as my old did, but what the heck.  I should have this one on my wrist within a few days, but for now, these scans will have to suffice.

Hope you enjoy it (and hope it's correct!).

Darren
