Girard Perregaux

So in the end I bought it.

I must say it is a fetching dial. And after going to the VC party in Los Angeles and trying on the 40mm Patrimony, I realized that the VC was 2mm too big for my taste...even as thin as it was. The other Patrimony models were all very nice looking...especially in yellow gold. But they were mostly 34/35mm and I've already got that size covered. Then I looked at my Day Date and realized that the 49001 is the same size but including the D/D crown...or 38mm. And I realized I wanted something in the same basic size but maybe with a little different perportions. Since this model is no longer in production...and wasn't being offered to me in solid gold...I decided I could live with another steel watch if I had to...and so...taadaa!

But sadly this brings my watch count to a full 12. If something else comes along...something else has to go. Of course if I give my wife the LeCoultre for Christmas...it is thin enough and dressy enough for a woman...then I would technically only have eleven watches which means...
