Some shots from the BellesMontres in Paris
As usual the little enlightened stands the watches are kept in are a real problem to take good pictures but I managed to get these.
It was a fantastic 3 days exhibitions, especially with the return of Ludovic Ballouard, Kari Voutilainen, Vianney Halter or the Gronefeld Bros.
I love watches!
Cheers, Mark
The Half Time - Ludovic Ballouard:
Very thin room between the dial and the name plate:
I love the case's side shape (curved):
The center piece (snail shape) is making a turn in 1 hour and, hence, resets the retrograde minute hand and switches both rings for the next hour (instant):
The finishing is fantastic too.
The Upside-down's movement:
The Pt Upside-down (blue dial) and Half-time:
Another reborn brand JC Pellaton (from the man who created and set very accurate Tourbillon):
The finish is top noch (at a Greubel Forsey budget).
The Gronefeld 1 Hertz movement which is really beautiful (more impressive to me than the Parallax decoration):
On the dial's side the second hands stops very accurately over each second marker. This is a nice testimony of their mastery.
Kari Voutilainen - "2-8" (unisex with a mother of pearl center dial) with the in-house movement we have in the Vingt-8:
KV - Tourbillon:
KV - GMT unique piece:
The GMT is readable through the rotating disk on the small second dial (setting is made via the pusher in the crown)
The engraving is beautiful...
Romain Jerome with the Batman (for its anniversary):
The black shiny background around the bat signal becomes blue when in the dark.
This is a map of Berlin (with some of the wall's dust):
The wall in red becomes green in the dark (25the anniversary of its fall).
Vianney Halter's Deep Space:
Very technical, stands well on the wrist, remains light...
