Some Xmas pictures of my Universal Genève Polerouter Sub.
I had some time yesterday to play with some of my watches, and among them, a diving watch which I like a lot, the Universal Genève Polerouter Sub.
One of the nicest, in my opinion, super compressors from the 60's.
And one of the most interesting, along with the Vulcain Nautical, the Jaeger Lecoultre Polaris, and the Longines Diver.
All of these 4 has some points in common: The Super Compressor Construction, patented by Piquerez in the second half of the 50's, and an in house movement.
The UG Polerouter Sub has a specificity: Its micro rotor movement, the Cal 215.
Charm, Beauty, Horology, this watch has all to please.

These UG are so charming. We should try to launch a UG Roll Call, one day.

Agreed on the Poleroutre being an icon Diver
I also love the Cal with micro rotor. Apparently UG also lend that movement to GP for a short time but finding a GP with that movement is very hard, only saw one once and missed it.
For the SAS pilots who ditched into the sea...
Brilliant piece and in a very Nico like condition, too I know this is far from the most fortuitous timing but another go at UG would be really cool - it seems the last attempt petered out some time ago (but did produce some new microtors)...
