Speedy Sub-dial Running Seconds.
It may be my 60 year old eyes, but the running seconds on the Speedy sub-seconds dial seems to have a very smooth running rhythm. I hardly see the “tick tock” motion that I see on other watches with a higher beat rate. I have an Omega f300 electric watch and it reminds me of the smooth motion on that watch. It could just be that it’s less noticeable on a sub-dial than on a central seconds dial. Just an observation.

Did you notice the main Chronograph seconds not aligned to perfect Zero?
I have a few Speedies and they all have similar misalignment which I don’t think it’s parallex error on my eyes. ...

Here is how I think about it. Both the sub-seconds and chronograph seconds hands have 1 minute to complete a single rotation. The 'distance' they need to travel is the circumference of circle they 'trace' with the tip of the their hands. That formula is c...

Have a Speedy bought around 10 years ago
— a bit annoyed that it gains a daily 12 seconds or so in daily wear. Hand wound. Wondering whether it s worthwhile to send it in for service.

If it hasn’t been serviced in ten years, I would service it. The movement can be better regulated than 12/day. My Speedy is a year old and it’s at 2.5 seconds/day which is acceptable. And I wear mind almost daily. Just a thought. Mark

Edit to my post. Mine is plus 2.5 seconds/day. The plus sign doesn’t work, I guess.
