Sports Tudor DATE DAY

Hi Guys..

I have been looking for a 7020/0 for about 8 months now ( I have to thank Ken Miller for pointing this model out to me).  The 7020/0 is a 1970s DATE DAY TUDOR.   This model has a few interesting aspects.

1) Jumbo size case, at approx 39 mm not counting lugs or crown or bezel.  The case has flat sizes like other Vintage Sports Rolex models.

2) Has a Turn-o-graph  bezel..

On top of all that this DATE DAY was made in Steel!

So if you always liked the idea of a "SPORTS"  DATE DAY in a flat sided 39 mm oyster case with a rotating bezel.  The 7020/0 is the ONLY GAME in town....

I have seen them with Silver , Grey , black and my uncommon Metallic Blue dial.

The example I finally purchased came with its original inner Tudor signed box.  The caseback still has it "TUDOR"  sticker still attached.

The watch itself looks like it was worn less then 5 times.  John Buckley said it best " It has its Geneva polish" ... It was never polished all edges are sharp  !   Look at the bezel edging.   I am still taken back when I look at it.  The original folded oyster Rolex bracelet is satin finished on the links and high polished on its side edges .  The clasp still has its " NEW  Stiff " feel.

This watch has the following unique features...

 DATE DAY complication
JUMBO Steel 39 mm flat sided Oyster case.
 TURN-O-GRAPH BEZEL...

All of the above features can be found in Rolex models,  but there is no Rolex model with all of these features in a single model ! The 7020/0 is the only game in town...

With out any further rambling , here is the prize !!

I think the 7020/0 Tudor is the Vintage Sports DATE DAY...

Just to make it clear, I still have a love for Omega....

Here is a Day Date Connie

Good Hunting
