Everyone knows the position of steel in the watch industry but has anyone noticed the different approach of watch manufacturers in regards to steel model introductions? In the past manufactures always used precious metal to introduce new models and eventually brought out steel versions years later but it seems like now they do it the other way around.
They’d build up momentum for a specific model with a lower price point before going premium with precious metal. I find that very interesting and personally I like it!
Do you think patek needs more steel models like the 5212 and the discontinued 5960?
