APPEARANCE

We had some bright winter sunlight this morning and I thought it might highlight the blue. It did, but only after brutal cleaning, recleaning, wiping with water and RE-cleaning the crystal and case. 

Wiped in the normal fashion with a clean dust-free cloth, a lot of debris remains and the direct sun is brutal on flaws, dust and specks!

Luckily the nice textured leather strap doesn't show dust speckles.

FUNCTION

I'm not completely convinced by the deployant buckle; it's a bit fiddly to latch and has come open twice on me. Maybe there is a technique I need to learn, or the strap might soften up a bit.

SURPRISES

Honestly, until I read another PuristS review today, I had not noticed that the rear crystal has a gold crescent moon painted on it, mirroring the one on the second hand. I had to go back and take another rear photo! I suppose if I had peeled off the protective sticker, I would have seen it for sure. But here it is:

SUMMARY

Best value, best-looking watch of 2017 for me (I bought it way back in December).
