The 1520 Shaped Seiko Movement
By shaped, I mean Not Round as in most watch movements. This is apparently Seiko's equivalent of the tiny JLC used in women's jewelry watches. Here's the watch on a mesh bracelet as received.

Woven mesh from a byegone era

Minimalist construction, serious lack of sealing, water resistance "take off when washing hands"

Notice the thread or hair on the stem... it still runs fine

You can't get simpler than this movement -- although maybe a Corum could be the skeletonized version of this 1520

Strap complements the hand colors, making it slightly more interesting while you are peering down at the watch, trying to read the time.

The 1520
A friend went on a search and came up with a lovely gold women's watch for his wife featuring the same movement... can't find its picture at the moment, but here's an even smaller watch I found for MY wife!

Same 1520 movement.
Cheers,
