The Colors of Parmigiani
Picking up from last week's launch of two new Toric Petite Seconde watches, I want to review dial colors offered by Parmigiani in its Toric and Tonda lines with an eye on the subtlety of variation within a family of colors.
Starting with dial colors that would be considered in the tan family . . .
Toric Petite Seconde with ”Sand Gold" dial
Toric Petite Seconde with ”Golden Hour" dial
Toric Quantieme Perpetuel with ”Golden Hour" dial
Toric Petite Seconde with ”Dune" dial
Toric Chonograph Rattrapante with ”Natural Umber" dial
Tonda PF Micro-Rotor with ”Golden Siena" dial
Tonda PF Automatic with ”Sand Gold" dial
Tonda PF Micro-Rotor "Serenissima" LE for Revolution. The dial is described in the press release simply as "salmon" colored.
You get the picture.
All brands offer variety in dial colors: black, blue, white, green, etc.
Parmigiani approaches dial color variation with subtlety, tweaking shades and hues within a single color family.
My eye gravitates to the darker tones but I find all of these dials classy and attractive.

Beautiful. As with ALL color, the dials would look different in different light.
Obviously in less light the colors would all darken and in daylight they'd all lighten. So basically they could ALL look the same to some extent, depending on the light they were seen under. The dial texture would make some stand out more than others.
Whilst they are all without a doubt beautiful.
The one that speaks the most to me in terms of dial colour and hands and markers as well as the case colour is the Toric Petite Seconde with the Golden Hour dial It just has my attention and holds it. Marc

It's a brand that is making its own unique path.
I would admire what they are doing even if the watches weren't so beautiful. But they are!
