.....it does come with original box and card as well as original papers..... but the papers are not for my 6610...aggghhh. That would have been some full-set.
.. good can it get ?. Not much better, I guess .. Or maybeee .. A Comex with papers and diver's log incl Photos or such ;) Thx for the jaw- dropping share.. Best again, hs
But this is a fantastic thread, with a lot of stunning full collectors pieces!! Let me know when the 16600 is considered a vintage, then maybe I can join in!! ;-) Great full collectors watches guys! Very envious! Cheers Tony
Here is my set. The only papers I am missing are the GMT instruction booklet from this very early 1675 (from 1962). So anybody has an extra booklet or knows someone who has a booklet - I am interested in finding them. Best Edmond And another picture of th...
Thank you Bill. I didn't even think about that. While there are booklets out there, there are all from 1968 onwards - I have yet to find an earlier one. But I am not giving up just yet. best Edmond
Unfortunately they all accompany watches so no loose papers. However you will notice the difference between the two 1966 versions they seem to depict pointed crown guards. You can also clearly see the 1960 is a non crown guard version. I have 1961 and 196...
Thank you very much Bill. Much appreciated. No date on the guarantee papers other than the watch nr. I will do some research but know now what to look out for! Thank you! Best Edmond
Your chrono certificate has the date of the certification and the guarantee card even if blank has a date stamped for when it was printed. Both give some indication. But the watch could have been sold with two years of either date. Do you have some close ...
So I looked. Your were right once again;) The guarantee is stamped 65 and the chronometre paper is dated 23rd december 1964. So what papers would be ideal then? Could it be that the watch sold 1-2 yrs later than the Chronometer date? Thank you Edmond
You serial will most likely be between 1.1 to 1.4 mil and the brochure could be from 1965 to 1968. It looks like the papers are for a serial number 875xxx which makes it a 1962 set of papers. Unless the watch some how has the serial number 875xxx the pape...
Bill- thanks for your replies - I appreciate them. This is how I / we learn. My watch indeed as a 875xxx serial Nr. The exact number written on the guarantee is (on the last page far left in the bottom corner) is the following code: RP 1229 III 65 5 M I j...
I guess everything is possible. I am assuming then that it is a pointed crown guard watch. It just may have be fitted with a non chapter ring gilt dial and that is fine others with the same serial have been seen. For some reason the models that state a 87...
with Rolex you really never know. For me that is part of the (dangerous) but nonetheless fun allure of the brand. Yes it is a PCG watch. Since the chronometer says Dec 1963 I guess it is a 1963 watch which fits with the 875 xxx serial Nr then. I will open...
The challenge is to find in the same language. Obviously we will never know exactly but it would be a nice addition. Have goodnight or should I say early morning . Bill
Makes sense as the chrono papers are dec 1963. Marcello could it be possible that the watch was originally supplied with a non -chapter ring but gilt dial? Thanks Edmond
in this range have the SWISS dial with minutes ring. however we have seen also very few with the following features : -- underline -- SWISS -- long minutes bars but without ring. ( same combo seen in 5512-3 made in 1964 ). to be honest this combo in a GMT...
