The Qualité Fleurier Fondation

Nowadays, in the luxury watch industry, several labels certifying a more-or-less rigorous control, guarantee of quality, know how to, among others ...
The most know ones is the "Swiss Made" label, which can be on de dial of the watch if at least 60% of the total value of the watch is from Switzerland, for instance.
We all know the COCS certification, the Poinçon de Genève…
Manufactures have too created their own certifications, such as the Master Control 1000 hours of JLC, or the 500 Hours Control of Montblanc, the "Poinçon AP".
It for an aim hight guarantee of quality, of precision, of resistance, that the Qualité Fleurier Fondation has been created, Fondation of which I wanted to talk about today, with, as exemples, 3 Parmigiani Fleurier models.
To remind you, the Qualité Fleurier Fondation was created in 2001, then inaugurated in 2004, from the collaboration of Chopard, Bovet, Parmigiani Fleurier, and Vaucher Manufacture.
Unlike, the COSC, to take this example, where only the mouvements are evaluated and checked before putting them in the case, the Qualité Fleurier Foundation makes a whole set of tests on the watch as it will be sold, (mouvement in the case).
Also, the the Qualité Fleurier Foundation serves the public and private interests, supported by the public authorities.
Esthetic criteria (case, mouvement, dial must 100% manufactured in Switzerland), and technic criteria are evaluated. Among them there are:
- the evaluation of the watch in terms of precision, if it goes slow or fast. In addition to the COSC norms, the watch can go fast about +0 to +5 seconds maximum a day compared to the GPS time
- shock resistant
- magnetic reluctance up to 600 gauss
- 3 ATM water resistant
An independent technical commission ensures the control of the respect of these different criteria.
Now i would like to present you one of the Qualité Fleurier models by Parmigiani Fleurier:
A beautiful Tonda, 18ct Rose gold, grained withe, and hands made of gold with luminova.
The rotor is hand guilauché inspired by barley grains, 22ct rose gold, 55 hours of Power Reserve.
The case is a 39mm one.
Thanks to a double barrels "monté en série" , the developed energy remains constant

Here is a white gold Parmigiani Fleurier, with blue indexes.
You can notice that the blue changes from a very dark one to a very light one depending on how you are looking at the watch The skeleton hands perfectly match the dial of this Parmigiani Fleurier ! ...
This is indeed nice feature to have.....
