Triton Spirotechnique, a lovely vintage diving watch.
I don't have enough material to write a review for now, but I thought that sharing some pictures would be interesting, not to say exciting.
The Triton Spirotechnique is one of these watches which were used by the Commander Cousteau, along with the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms, the Omega Seamaster Ploprof, and some less known watches such as the Aquastar.
The Triton, born in 1962, 37 mm case.
The particularity of the Triton? The crown, located at 12 o clock, while some others ( ZRC ) put it at 6 o clock.
Why Spirotechnique? Because Spirotechnique was the name of a supplier of diving stuff such as watches, compasses, depth gauge and so on. The equivalent of US Divers, for France.
So, in their catalog, you find some watches, such as this Triton, or some Aquastar.
Mechanically, nothing exceptional, is the Triton housed an ETA movement, but what we are expecting of a diving watch is resistance to water ( 200 meters ) and accuracy. If, moreover, it is pleasant to see, what more to ask?
A charming and not well known watch.

They re edited it, with a ceramic bezel and a Soprod movement. Bigger, too.
