Two, two, two-movements in one
Does anyone else have a fascination with multiple-movement watches?
I'm not suggesting a Jacobs 5-in-1 watch makes any sense on our wrists, but two movements intrigue me.
Don't think that this multi-movement strategy is only for $39 eBay specials - some REAL watch companies engage in the multi-business.
My tastes are eclectic - I'm not picky; they can be mechanical or quartz; analog or digital - a combination is even better.
I guess I draw the line at direct knock-offs of Vianney Halter's Antigua though ...

Here's an ultra-thin Skagen

and a cheap cut-away copy called the Skone.

A fairly common dual movement Stein which has those pressure points on the underside of its case which touch your wrist and align you with the ley lines, dolphins and astral forces.

A minimalist two-fer.
A year or two ago I fought and won a battle with my two selves (don't buy it! / you love this quirky watch!) and failed to get this Silberstein Karavan Moon. (Such a great name!) But even I found the lower movement's single-hand display a bit awkward to live with.

Especially since I already have a single-hand Silberstein Pikto SmileDay.

But when a dual movement, carbon fiber dial, hinged case, silicon strap Jorg Hysek appeared at a reasonable price, I couldn't help myself.

It's surprisingly comfortable.

and incorporates his trademark style of an arched bridge

The deciding factor? NO DATE on either watch. Hooray! If I want the date I have this one:

(and yes, it does have three hands, but this picture is SO in focus I had to use it).
Cheers for a new watch two new watches in 2016
