UN vs GO or GP?? Need opinions. Thanks.
Well, been looking to get a dive watch that is different from the Rolex watches I have. Something different than other.
Narrowed it down to 3. Gerrad Perragaux Sea Hawk, Ulysee Nardin Maxi Marine Diver and Glashutte SPort Evolution.
Kind of put the GP Sea Hawk at third place. Really like the case design and fit. But a little too shiney, the power reerve indicator does not appeal to me and the bracelet seems like does not lock in place real well. The lum is great though and a great company. May consider a Rubber strap version. The bezel is real nice as well.
The UN Maxi Diver is a work of art but really looks sporty as well. Bezel is outstanding. Refined and customized ETA parts and inhouse parts movement. Bracelet is strong and comfortable. Lum and dial visability great! (also like the Maxi Marine Chronometer- vintage and sporty looking). Great company and great design of the watch. Water resistance 200 meters.
The Go Sport Evolution. LOve the SS bracelet and how you can adjust. Comes with Rubber strap in addition. Like the panorama date feature. Dial is easy to read. Water resistance 200 meters. What I don't like is the lum on the hour markers only a 3,6,9, and 12. The bezel seemed a little difficult to geta hold off and rotate as well.. Love the shape of the case, the clear crystal see through back, the wooden case and loupe it come with, and the company GO itself (small company, handmade, produces good reading magazine, etc..).
All three above cost about the same.
