I have finally pull the trigger for another GP, the USA-76 with wwtc. Like I've said in my past posting I have looked at several watches ie. IWC port 7 day, IWC F.A.Jones, JLC reverso 8 day, Zenith Open Port , GP USA-87 and even Richard Lange model A.Lange & Sohne. Richard Lange model is a bit tough over my budget. The GP USA-87 doesnt appeal to me.
Well, I guess with its complication hours of the world and chronograph & its the last piece further more its a limited edition series to 750 its worth the investment.
Thanks to Bigmin of TZ & Peter of Purist and not forgeting my good friend BMI-GP brand manager, Mr. T for the big push for convincing me to finally purchase it. A ctually, I had ask my AD to show all the watch that I've mention above and wear it and feel it before I made the decision.
I kept the USA-76 at home, I dont wear it. I looked at it everyday its too precious. I do wear my USA-71 on alternate day with my work horse Breitling B-2. The B-2 has a chronograph and a slide rule. The B-2 is a solid watch and I love the feel of the weight on my wrist. I love all my watches. I think I'll stop buying watches for a while. Now I have 2 GP, 1 Breitling and 1 Longines date moonphase special edt (quartz).
Last weekend I received a call from Parmigiani AD who told me that they have a new collection. The Parmigiani brand name is somewhat new to this part of the neighbourhood. No doubt that their workmanship is execellent but it is so damn expensive almost double the price and I was told that they use GP ebeuche.
I guess a GP customer is always a GP customer.
