Vacheron Constantin 2014 Patrimony World Time Excellence Platine.

This new Patrimony will be unveiled at the next Watch and Wonders, in HK, in a few weeks.

Well, new, not really, as a Patrimony World Time in platinum was offered at the 2013 Only Watch, but with a different dial.

The piece unique:

Now, the Excellence Platine, limited to 100 pièces.

The case is the same, 42, 5 mm big, 11, 62 mm high. Which, on the paper, seems to be well balanced in the proportions.

Still, I would have preferred a more refined case, in the purest Vacheron Constantin Tradition... Exquisite, delicate, elegant.

This one is quite bold, as I could check it when the rose gold version was born, a few years ago.

I have the same problem with the movement, which I don't find really appealing.

The dial?

Made of sapphire ( the part bearing the cities of the world ) and platinum ( the rest of the dial ), it looks very understated, cold. The Only Watch version had more life with its red accents. The dial of the rose gold version too.

Some will like, others won't... Very subjective.

To be seen in the flesh, or on better pictures, before any final judgement. But my first feeling is so so...

A good point to offer the world time in white metal, though.

GP does that, too with their new Traveler WW TC. At the contrary of Patek... And the fact that you have the half time zones is another good point, versus the competitors. Like you, I am really waiting to see it in the real. Thanks for your superb feedback...
