TimeOut

Villa Manin, Passariano De Codroipo, Italy.

A one day stop in a magnificient place, in Italy.

The perfect illustration that when you are in Italy, it is better to loose yourself outside the more known and more famous places, to go to some improbable locations.

Who knows Villa Manin? Amateurs of Art apart, as this place is the theater of many exhibitions...

The Villa Manin, to make it short, was built in the middle of the 17th Century, and was the house of the last eponymous Venetian Doge, Ludovico.

A somptuous place, for those who are visiting this part of Italy, just close to Udine, and at circa 110 kilometers from Venezia.

The Villa:

You can also have a lunch or a dinner, there, the restaurant is good, not too expensive, and the ambiance is magic:

The entry of the Villa is quite breathtaking:

Some pictures of the huge park, now:

And if you want to stay a bit longer, there is a lovely Bead and Breakfast, very close to the Villa:

Even the parking of the hotel is charming:

Highly recommendable.

Best,

Nicolas
