Vintage Calatrava ref 3483 - advice needed
hi folks
I was looking at SS Calatravas. Now a 3417 is way out of reach , and I was looking at 3483 (and admiring Baron's!)
After doing some research, I got confused. There seemed to be two types of hands and 2 types of dials. These 2 examples are from Matthew Bain's site [credit: Matthew Bain}
I will call this (for want of a better term!) a "Type 1 Hand" where hands which have a little 'neck' near the centre. They also seem to be paired with a ""Type 1 Dial" where the I of LIPPE is close to the L. This is also the configuration seen in Baron and Kcinemod's 3483s.

Conversely, there seems to be a "Type 2 Hand" without the 'neck', paiired with a "Type 2 Dial" where the I of LIPPE is equidistant between L and P. [credit: Matthew Bain]

But after these 2 Matthew Bain examples, there seem to be others, like this one from Philips, where you get a Type 1 dial, but with Type 2 hands (see below) [credit: phillips]

So now I'm confused - which is the correct configuration? Any help or advice is appreciated - thanks in advance!
