Over the weekend I found an amazing exposition catalog called "Gilded Splendor: Treasures of China's Liao Empire (907-1125)" it was held in the Asia Society NY in 2006.
Just some amazing gold work and other pieces in general, and at the time I had my 1943 AP on and couldn't help but take some of these pictures.
What you see here is a closeup of a pair of funerary boots made of gilded silver, and depicting a phoenix type of bird. Then a funerary mask... and a vintage 1943 AP I'm wearing a lot lately!
