Vintage Repeater Need Help.
Above Are the pictures of my new toy ...
The numbers underneath the gongs near the slider are 6053.
I purchased this watch as a minute repeater, however it only repeats hours and quarters... Is something not working, or it is actually a quarter repeater.
Any info on the year of production ? Is this actually a real Vacheron ?
I was told this is all original, however i would assume the hands are not .. Am i correct ?
This is obviously a recase. Pretty nicely made Size is 49mm without crown 60 lug to lug.
Can someone also point me in a direction of a good watchmaker in New York area that would be capable of servicing the watch.
The watch will definetly need to be cleaned and oiled. also the gongs don't sound as clear as i would've liked.
I do not think it is a good idea to bring this to my watchmaker who has not seen a watch like this in his life...
Any Info is greatly appreciated...
