We went to a party yesterday in La Jolla
I was asked to take pictures — I hope you enjoy them.
Seven acres on the cliff above “Black’s” a famous “clothing-optional” beach.

The large lawn was formerly a Native American village graveyard. About 30 sets of remains have been given back to the local tribes since this property was developed by Mr Black 70 years ago.

Nice view from the house which is now the residence of the Chancellor of Univ of California at San Diego aka UCSD

It was hot but lovely to be near the ocean

La Jolla Shores beach, Scripps pier and the Village in the distance (with its dozen watch shops)

Nice day to terrify yourself by hang gliding!

Inside the house a collection of Dr Seuss art donated by La Jolla resident Audrey Geisel, wife of the author of “The Cat in the Hat”

These are characters from the various books

He had a wild imagination
I don’t know how widely known these books are

But they were very popular in my youth
Obligatory watch photo along with mouthwatering salmon treats

Cliff-edge view patio

More mouthwatering goodies. The ladies putting on the event were all watching their figures so I didn’t have to hold back.
They even gave me a ziplock bag to take a few things home.
Cheers
