Vacheron Constantin

Well, my Overseas is gone...

This weekend I did what only 4 months ago I swore I would never do....sold my Overseas Chronometer, with black military dial.

Of course, it was for a worthy cause....I am the proud new owner of a Lange 1815 in WG with blue dial and black strap.

Despite the departure of the Overseas I still have a VC in the collection....my favortie watch I own is my Cal. 1127 WG Power Reserve from the Complications line...maybe the 1815 will take that spot sometime, who knows. I am funny like that, I really start to like the piece more after a few months of owning it.

I still cannot believe that I own a German watch....I suppose it compliments my cars and heritage, though. But for watches I have always been so hard-up Swiss only. That is probably a result of being in the business from time to time and never carrying any German lines in the store.

Any other Lange and VC owners care to offer any comparisons?

Also, a good friend of mine sold his Overseas with blue dial and picked up the Malte Large Date in WG with white dial and black strap....after 48 hours of testing it was running just over .5 sec fast a day! I guess it really earned that COSC title, huh?!
