Rolex

What's next?

Hope this greeting finds you well. I have been rather inactive recently in this global community. Many reasons as to why.. To shorten my life story, it has been filled with work, as i have recently been transferred to my HQ workplace and has to be responsible for new team and a new portfolio. Besides work, it's always family, trying to divide time for my two lovely princesses, Olivia (turning 2) and Isabelle (turned 4 not too long ago). And of course, my dear wife. 3 months ago i lost my dad. Why i said i lost my dad, as i have not spoken enough words to him prior to his passing away. I am still grieving this loss of my life when my thoughts turned to him. I am doing fine, not to worry. I do not want to cause you of anything sad, but this is a reminder to me that we must all live our lives to the fullest. My dad was a great man. Honest, generous, charitable, hardworking, positive, a good son, husband and a definite excellent father. My hero of sort. I am sure he did not want me to feel sad but to be happy and to live my own and to always remember him. Almost forgot this is Rolex forum and not TimeOut. So, What did i do last evening? I went to Rolex boutique to look for a watch. On Friday evening i had brought some friends to the same mall where this Rolex boutique was located to hunt for their watches. They ended up buying IWC, Tag, Panerai and a last minute buy of a Rolex watch, green hand, green lettering, black ceramic bezel. Prior to all this joy, i have noticed the GMT to be a model gaining much popularity lately with you-know-who in this Forum with their vintages and moderns, blue/black, black/red, all-blue, all-blacks, blue/reds, and laying them against Pan Am ads, pictures of pilots, and Amanico, Baron, Fernando, even Foowy, and my apologies if i missed out any GMT owners be it modern or vintages, whether bakelite or ceramic bezels or aluminium. Alright we know what the GMT stands for. For me, well it has been a watch that i want to own to complete the them Sky, Land and Sea. I know Amanico may suggest.. "my friend, u need the Daytona.." smile Ok last evening after having my Ramen dinner with my family, i went to purchase this very nice watch. Solidly built and constructed, a companion where i can track timezones. And many more nice things to say about this watch. I have to eat my own words which i have mentioned before in this community, the polished middle links. I want to now say, i can live with a bit of luxury glamour looking tool watch. Here's to celebrate this phase of my life. And i hope all your GMTs give you good feelings about what you have, your life, family, friends, and many watches. Feel free to share your GMTs here and celebrate. Cheers!
