Who else likes vintage inspired watches?
Very quietly and almost unperceived by myself a small part of my collection has evolved into the theme of vintage re-edition respectively vintage inspired watches.
And this despite my dislike for faux lumina which is ever so prominent with so many of these watches!!
There are however many nice pieces available without the faux lumina or artificially faded dial colors.
Let me show what I currently have in my collection:

Longines Heritage Classic "Sector dial"
Glashütte Original Sixties "orange edition"
Omega Speedmaster CK2998
Anonimo Nautilo Vintage
Tudor Black Bay GMT
These watches do combine IMO very successfully vintage design elements with top modern quality standards ....and modern case diameters.
Most,like the Longines and Anonimo, are also amazing quality for the chosen price points.
Now I am curious to discover your modern vintage inspired watches that you may have in your collections !!

Well, I have a soft spot for them. The JLC Tributes, like the Polaris and the Deep Sea Alarm... The Longines Legend Diver, the Tudor Black Bay...
Now, what do we consider as Vintage inspired? For example, the new Rolex Submariner is another interpretation of the original Sub. Same for many Patek, or even better, JLC ( Triple Calendar, Master Control Date and so on are true links to the Past as well...
Yor are right: vintage inspired is a very large playing field.
Maybe my very subjective answer would be : 50ies and 60ies design elements that I saw in watches when I was very young. Or even more important the (again very subjective) vintage feel on the wrist when wearing the watches. And in the end, aren't all these...

50ies ,60ies yes 70ies(except some great one , like N.RO,222) funky not really , faked lume and leather def not ,pocket watch to wristwatch lookalikes with roman numbers and chunky lugs def def not.
These are all superb!
Everytime when I see the Doxa I feel that I need also one of these!

To be honest, it is a general trend in these days for brands to issue "re-editions" or "hommage to", yet I have always preferred the original vintage version to the new one, even though I reckon some models are nice (e.g. the re-edition of the Rado Captai...
IMO, vintage watches are the heart and soul of watch collecting.
Modern reissues satisfy a different niche. Purchase + Wearability + Durability without the worry!
