Wrists shots from Geneva

Hello, All --

I had the great privilege to be hosted by VC at this year's SIHH -- many thanks to AlexG and everyone at VC for making this possible!  We were treated like kings and I enjoyed every moment.

One highlight was a private showing of this year's novelties.  I didn't get to shoot all of them on the wrist, but did catch a few.

First is my co-favorite, the retrograding date QP LE for the Geneva Boutique.  My only complaints about this piece are that the date arrow is not clearly visible (in this picture, it is pointing to 17 -- did you see it?) and that there won't be enough of them!  I'm assuming that VC will fix the date arrow.

Next my other co-favorite, the Aronde, or "lips" watch.  It actually wears a little smaller than this photo (taken with a wide angle lens) would suggest.   Comfortable and very classy -- a winner in my book.

Finally, the new world timer.  Not to my taste, I'm afraid -- I generally prefer the JLC Geo dual time convention (also used on the VC Overseas Dual Time) to the PP-style globe look, and this dial is just too busy for me.  That said, it has a lot of presence and I'm sure a lot of people will go for it:

I hope that these shots give you a little better impression of some of the new pieces on offer!

Best,

Gary G
