Dear Sir,
at the beginning the 2 digits after the serial number indicated the date the CASE was made. But Journe is more limited in the making of the movements than the cases, and we had instances were an "02" (meaning 2002) came out in 2003 or 2004. So we decided to stop "dating' the cases as it had no significance anymore. Note also in the case of the Resonance you are mentioning that it is indeed the 277th REGARDLESS of the case dimension or case material. Meaning that the one right after in any shape or form will bear the # 278.
