Girard Perregaux

Seahawk II Pro

I've had this beautiful watch for almost two years.
It's been the most accurate watch of all I have (including Aquanaut).
Last week I accidentally left it in a car in Detroit for about two hours.
When I put it back on my wrist, to my horror, the watch was 30 minutes behind. I could not believe my eyes. So I set it to exact time, and locked it in the car again for half an hour, and it was three minutes behind again. The temperature outside was 11°F. The watch was fully wound.
I checked the watch over the weekend at room temperature, and it is fine again, accurate and stayed wound for 42 hours.
I cannot believe that lubricant becomes so viscous at 11°F.
Can I trust this watch now? What if it leaks when I dive? How can it be fixed, if it works great at normal temperatures?
