I think it's a good thing GP

 

is ready to stand on it's own without a strong tie-in to a different industry. It was most likely very beneficial for GP to have the Ferrari co-branding in the recent past. The people who purchase these cars have are likely potential consumers of high end watches. GP may have needed to build stronger brand awareness, as the they were in a renaissance period during the 90's. Now that GP is becoming more recognized (I'm a recent new owner of a Vintage45) for their manufacture credentials, they can stand on their own without as strong of a co-branding in my opinion.
